"SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIENDS"
Silverback Gorillas Silverback gorillas weigh approximately 350 pounds- about twice the weight of normal adult man. Gorillas are herbivores, and eat only plants. They spend most of their day foraging for food and eating bamboo and leafy plants. Coastal Brown Bears As their name suggests, Alaskan coastal brown bears live along the coast where the living is easier and the climate is better. They have a greater amount of animal protein, mainly in the form of fish in their diet and hence get larger. They 1,200 to 1,400 pounds each. Grey Wolves As the largest members of the canine family, GREY WOLVES, can actually be white, black, tan, brown or grizzled—a combination of tan, brown and black. A wolf's lifespan is an average of seven years in the wild and twelve in captivity.
Wolves have strong jaws, with42 teeth—20 on their upper jaws and 22 on their lower jaws—making for the largest bite pressure of any canid. Wolves are known to crush large bones in just a few bites. Rhinoceros have horns on their noses rather than on top of their heads. The horns are made of thousands of compressed hair like strands of keratin that continues to grow much like human fingernails and hair throughout their lifetimes. Males tend to have thicker horns and females have long, thinner ones. Because their eyes are on the sides of their heads, they are very nearsighted and will charge at anything until they are close enough to see what it actually is...watch out! They do, however, have extraordinary senses of smell and hearing.
African Lions throughout the history of man, the lion has been considered the symbol of strength. We say "strong as a lion" or "lion-hearted." In courts throughout the world, the lion was used on shields and crests and banners to indicate power.
